James O’Hanlon grew up in New York City. In 1988 he graduated from SUNY Purchase with a BA/LA in Sociology and the Visual Arts with an emphasis on documentary film and video. In 2001 he moved from San Francisco to Vermont with his wife to start a family and shortly after, he purchased Moonlight Video, a local independent video production company specializing in weddings and legal video. In recent years he has grown the company to include custom video production for a variety of applications and in 2008 his eight minute film “Small Hydro for Twinfield” was included in the Green Mountain Film Festival as a short.
